Biju Patnaik was a renowned Indian politician and aviator who served two terms as the Chief Minister of Odisha. He is also remembered for his heroic rescue mission of Indonesian Prime Minister Sutan Sjahrir during the Indonesian National Revolution, an act for which he was later awarded honorary Indonesian citizenship.
